Daniel Strausbaugh
Family Law Attorney
Why I Practice Family Law
I grew up in Portland, Oregon and graduated from the University of Oregon School of Law in 2002. I spent the next 13 years practicing in Central Oregon and moved to the Sherwood area in 2016. I have more than 20 years of experience helping people through family law cases, including divorces and custody disputes. I have always been drawn to family law because I have a passion, and a gift, for helping people through difficult situations.
Divorces and custody battles can feel overwhelming and devastating for people going through them. I do everything possible to help people find the solutions they need, to give them peace of mind, and to let them know that there is a better future in front of them. I approach difficult and challenging situations with empathy, practicality, and integrity. My goal is to help people solve their problems and get them to a better place financially and emotionally. If people were to describe me, they would say I’m a strong advocate for my clients, straightforward, honest, and practical.
About Me
I am a father of two teenagers whom I enjoy antagonizing by forcing them to learn the history of music and movies, through listening and viewing
sessions. I am an avid cross-fitter, runner, disc-golfer, and outdoorsman. I believe that mental fitness and physical fitness complement one another. I don’t fish as much as I used to, but I still call myself a fisherman, and I get out there whenever I can.
